The Junior class is one of immensse talents but there are many with consistency problems, others with injuries and more yet with attitude problems.
This QB class can rival the 1999 draft in talent if not in production. UNLV's Jason Thomas may be the most talented player on the board. At 6'4, 240 he has Culpepper size and his 4.6 forty is McNabb-like. Thomas is very
streaky and also is pretty
inconsistent however. Inconsistent is something both Carson Palmer and Chris Sims have heard a lot. They were supposedly going to be the ones who ressurected the programs at Texas and USC. While those programs have gotten up off the mat, neither QB has done much to justify all the
hype. Some talented guys lacking hype are Marshall's big, gun slinger Byron Leftwich and QB in a LB's body Dave Ragone. The other skill positions are pretty strong. A good RB class is led by Arkansas' Cedric Cobbs and Va Tech's Lee Suggs who tore an ACL and may gain an extra year of eligibility. When healthy, Suggs is a top 10 player. Pitt's Antonio Bryant is the best of the wideouts. The lack of a QB has hurt him as
haverun-ins with the law which have scouts
questioning his attitude. Georgia's Terrance Edwards is

a multi talented player who can run, pass, catch and return. Tennessee's Donte Stallworth is very talented but injuries have hurt his stock. On the

Offensive Line, Florida's Mike Pearson has been compared to Tony Boseli and Toniu Fonoti is one of the better guard prospects in the past couple of years. Washington's Jerramy Stevens even with his injuries is still far and away the best TE prospect.
It's looking like a strong year for Defense. The top overall player on the board is UNC's Julius Peppers. Though he'll probably leave early he should still be a top 3 pick. Peppers is an incredible physical speciman. He is so dominant he has been compared to former Tar Heel Lawrence Taylor.
Also on the D-Line are Miami's William Joseph and Penn State's massive Jimmy Kennedy. Kennedy has
great talent but must keep his weight down while Joseph is a great athlete.
One intriguing prospect is Mario Haggan who was an outstanding Linebacker who has now been moved to DE. Speaking of outstanding LBs, the SEC has nt only Haggan but run stuffing Trev Faulk, his teammate and edge rusher Bradie James and the Alabama's Saleem Rasheed. On the corner's Florida's Lito Shepperd has speed and ball skills that have gotten him compared to the likes of Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey. Miami's Phillip Buchannon isn't a blazer but he has great coverage skills which make him a big time prospect. Dennis Weathersby has great size and is very physical. That is the style of corner that the NFL is looking for. The safety class is an
excellent  one with Roy Williams and Mike Doss looking like top 15 picks and Pitt's Ramon Walker figuring in as well.
