McKinnie
is a JUCO transfer who has become one of the 'Canes best linemen in school
history. He immediately stands out due mostly to his enormity but he is
much more than just a big guy.
PROS:
This guy is
huge. There's no other way to say that, but he's also very strong. He's
an excellent run blocker, devestating at the point of attack. He is also
a good pass blocker. Large wingspan lets his keep rushers at bay. Good
feet for a big man.
CONS:
He's inexperienced.
He's only played one year of D-1 ball. He still has some minor technical
things to work out but for the most part, he doesn't have a whole lot of
cons.
FINAL WORD:
McKinnie, Julius
Peppers and John Henderson may as well be 1a, 1b and 1c at this point.
McKinnie is clearly the top blocker in this class. The comparisons to Jonathon
Ogden aren't far off, he's that big and that intense. |
