Davis was Michael Vick's main target when Vick was at Va Tech. Davis could
have followed Vick to the NFL but he elected to return and wait one more
year to play in the NFL.
PROS:
A gamebreaker.
Davis has world class speed and he uses it. He may be the best deep threat
in the draft. He creates lots of separation with his wheels. He's also
great on reverses and punt returns. He's one of the more dangerous punt
returners in the country. A bonus is that unlike previous triple threats
like Peter Warrick and Santana Moss, Davis has good size.
CONS:
Isn't a well
rounded receiver. He's a home run hitter. He's not a great short receiver.
He's also not a particularly outstanding route runner. Most of his big
plays come on fly routes straight up the field.
FINAL WORD:
If he irons out those few problems, he's a top ten pick. Size and speed
